Quick + Easy Costume: Walter White

As you're getting ready to watch the culmination of what is arguably one of the greatest shows of all time, why not go back to the beginning? Because who doesn't want to be this guy:

It was time to do another Quick + Easy costume, and what's more relevant right now than the titan that is Breaking Bad?

Not only will you be paying homage to the duo's first cook, but this way you don't have to Bic your head.

NOTE: if you're going to carry around rock candy, make sure it's the clear stuff. Blue so doesn't go with this outfit.

Quick + Easy Couple Costume: Wreck-It Ralph + Vanellope von Schweetz

We were finally able to catch Wreck-It Ralph last week, and we both loved it! It helps that we're both life-long gamers...

So this week, I bring you a great, easy couples costume that you can pull off with your hubby OR your bff. Enjoy!

Ralph

If you don't plan on wearing these clothes ever again, take them to the next level: rip the pant cuffs and sleeves off the button-up for the bustin'-out Ralph look from the movie. Suck it up and go barefoot--Ralph would look Fifty Shades of Wrong in shoes. You'll need some hair gel too, diaper baby.

Vanellope

Not the most fashion-forward little rascal, Vanellope was a tough one to shop for! Key: don't forget to bedazzle your hair with candy.

This week's quick + easy costume: Eve Moneypenny

Let's be honest: costume parties are a year-round thang. And I know I would certainly love to have more of them. So I'll be posting a Quick + Easy costume every week inspired by a recent film or television episode. 

This week? All about Skyfall. Ms. Eve Moneypenny--oops! That was a mini spoiler--made quite the show in the new Bond flick, and this outfit was featured in the opening scene. It's a bit of a pricier getup (but much cheaper than if I did Bond himself!)

Quick + Easy Costumes Part 2: Rick Grimes

Only days left until Halloween! And you're either out of ideas or need a back-up costume for your multi-party weekend. Plus, you want to show that you're an up-to-speed geek without spending a fortune on something you'll never wear again. Here's part 2 of my quick + easy costume series:

Rick Grimes // The Walking Dead

You'll want to carry around a spray bottle full of water so you can always sport a sheen of sweat with this costume. Gun and holster are another must, but you can pick one up from any toy or costume shop for cheap.

Tip: go the extra mile and smear some dirt all over your skin. A couple fake wounds wouldn't hurt either.

My 2nd Halloween: what was my mother thinking...

As a thanks to my Twitter followers today, I shared a photo of my 2nd Halloween. Donning a Sesame Street smock and a questionable layer of yellow face paint, this little girl was supposed to be Big Bird incarnate.

Yeah.
